• Responsibilities
• The selected contractor will:
• Prepare and publish the magazine through IngramSpark
• Set up and optimize the magazine/book on Amazon
• Identify and submit the publication to additional relevant book marketplaces and distribution channels
• Review files to ensure they meet platform publishing requirements
• Assist with ISBN, pricing, categories, keywords, metadata, descriptions, and other listing requirements
• Optimize product listings for discoverability and conversions
• Develop a clear book sales and distribution strategy
• Identify opportunities for bookstores, college bookstores, libraries, student organizations, and other potential distribution partners
• Research additional platforms where the magazine should be available
• Recommend pricing and promotional strategies
• Create a launch and post-launch marketing plan
• Help Kranay Academy establish a repeatable publishing process for future annual editions
• Track platform setup, publication status, links, and recommendations in an organized document
• What We're Looking For:
• We would love to work with someone who has previous experience with:
• IngramSpark
• Amazon KDP / Amazon Books
• Self-publishing and book distribution
• ISBNs and publishing metadata
• Book listing optimization
• Print-on-demand publishing
• Book marketing and sales strategy
• Working with independent authors, publishers, magazines, workbooks, or similar publications
• Experience getting books into bookstores, libraries, college bookstores, or additional online retailers is a major plus.
• Deliverables:
• By the end of the project, we want Kranay Academy's Student Discount Magazine to have a professional publishing and distribution system in place, including live or submission-ready listings across appropriate platforms and a written strategy for increasing visibility and sales.
• We also want documentation of the process so our team can use the system for future editions.
