1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using WorkFil, you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any provision, do not use the service.
2. What WorkFil Is (and Is Not)
WorkFil is a marketplace that connects Filipino remote workers with international employers. We provide the infrastructure for both parties to discover each other, communicate, and agree to work together.
We are not an employer of record, staffing agency, or payroll provider. We do not process payments between employers and workers. We do not guarantee employment, project completion, payment, or quality of work. All hiring arrangements are directly between the employer and the worker.
3. Account Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating your profile or job listing.
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others.
- Not create duplicate accounts or impersonate other parties.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access.
4. Content and Conduct
Prohibited content and behavior includes:
- Posting jobs that violate Philippine or international labor law.
- Fraudulent job listings or fake talent profiles.
- Jobs requiring prohibited work (illegal activities, adult content, etc.).
- Demanding placement fees or registration fees from job seekers.
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive communication.
- Spamming, scraping, or automated submission of applications or listings.
- Requesting sensitive personal data (ID numbers, banking credentials) during the application process.
We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Fees
WorkFil is currently free for both employers and job seekers. Core hiring functions — posting jobs, browsing talent, messaging, and hiring — will remain free permanently. We may introduce optional premium features for high-volume employers in the future, which will be clearly labeled as optional.
6. Worker Classification
Filipino remote workers hired through WorkFil are typically engaged as independent contractors. Employers are responsible for classifying workers correctly under applicable law, issuing any required documentation, and arranging direct payment.
7. Intellectual Property
WorkFil retains all rights to the platform, design, and branding. You retain rights to content you submit (profile, job listings, messages), and grant us a limited license to host and display that content within the service.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee about the quality, reliability, or outcomes of any hiring arrangement initiated on the platform. Both parties are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering any employment or contractor agreement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkFil is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months — which, for free users, is zero.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
