About the Role
Pay: $3–$4 USD/hour Hours: Approximately 5–10 hours/week to start Work: Remote / Flexible schedule Potential: Long-term position with more hours/pay as the channels grow
About the Job
I'm a partnered livestreamer looking for someone to help turn my streams into consistent short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
You will NOT need to watch entire strea looking for clips.
I use StreamLadder's automated AI clipping system, which will generate potential clips from my streams for you.
Your job is to take those clips, choose the ones with the most potential, improve them, and post them.
What You'll Do
You'll:
- Review clips generated by StreamLadder
- Choose the clips most likely to perform well
- Clean up awkward starts/ends and dead space
- Add readable captions/subtitles
- Add zooms, cuts, sound effects, images, memes, etc. when they actually improve the clip
- Create strong hooks when appropriate
- Format everything correctly for vertical short-form content
- Write simple captions/titles
- Post finished clips to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other designated platforms
- Keep track of what has been posted so we don't upload duplicates
- Pay attention to which clips perform best and gradually adjust the editing style
I don't want every video ridiculously over-edited. The goal is to make the content feel natural, entertaining, and native to TikTok/Reels/Shorts, not like a corporate advertisement.
Content
The content comes from livestreams and may include:
- Gaming
- Funny moments
- Reactions
- IRL content
- Conversations
- 420/smoke-related content
- Other streamer-style content
You must be comfortable working with this type of content.
Requirements
You should:
- Understand TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Know basic short-form video editing
- Be comfortable using CapCut or similar software
- Understand captions and vertical formatting
- Have reliable internet
- Be dependable and able to post consistently
- Understand English well enough to caption conversations correctly
- Be willing to learn the style of my content
You do not need to be an advanced professional video editor.
I'm more interested in someone reliable who understands internet/streamer content and can learn what performs well.
Paid Trial
Before choosing someone for the long-term position, I'll give selected applicants a small PAID trial.
You'll receive several StreamLadder clips and edit them into finished short-form videos.
I'm mainly looking at:
1. Clip selection 2. Editing choices 3. Captions/subtitles 4. Understanding of internet humor/content 5. Whether you can make the first few seconds interesting 6. Following instructions 7. Turnaround time
How to Apply
Please send:
1. Your hourly rate 2. Your availability each week 3. What editing software you use 4. 2–5 examples of TikToks, Reels, or Shorts you've edited 5. Which platforms you personally use the most 6. Whether you've worked with gaming or livestream content before 7. Whether you're comfortable working with 420/smoke-related content
IMPORTANT: Start your application with the word NIGHTSHADE so I know you actually read the entire job description.
Also answer this question:
If StreamLadder gives you 10 clips from one stream, how would you decide which 3 are worth posting?
I'm looking for someone affordable and reliable who would like to work together long-term. If the content starts performing well and the workload increases, there will be opportunities for additional hours and increased pay.
