About the Role
Review electronic client records for administrative completeness, maintain document checklists, identify missing signatures and documents, track authorization dates and approved units based on information supplied by authorized sources, monitor expiration and reauthorization deadlines, organize records, communicate deficiencies to the appropriate staff member, and prepare administrative reports for management.
The coordinator does not create clinical documentation for clinicians, sign clinical records for another person, alter completed clinical documentation, fabricate missing information, or independently determine medical necessity.
