About the Role
Role Overview
We're seeking a Virtual Assistant | Accountant to handle accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger tasks. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and reliable support for month-end close activities.
What You'll Do
- Process and code vendor invoices and prepare weekly payment runs.
- Perform bank and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and post general ledger entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain documentation and support internal controls.
- Provide schedules and backup documentation for audits.
- Handle general accounting tasks as needed.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles.
- Strong Excel and general computer skills.
- Demonstrated accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
