About the Role
Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to support our client's UK accounts. In this role, you'll be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, data entry, and client communication, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth operations. If you have a strong background in finance, experience with Xero, and a solid understanding of UK VAT regulations, we encourage you to apply.
What You'll Do
- Create and issue invoices using internal tools.
- Monitor accounts receivable, identify overdue payments, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Upload client invoices into Xero and complete the creation of bills.
- Assist with the reconciliation of company bank statements.
- Respond to financial queries from customers and clients in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate finance and accounting records.
- Implement and uphold internal finance controls to minimize financial risk.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role.
- Proficiency using Xero for invoicing, bookkeeping, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of UK VAT regulations and their application.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
